Trunk or Treat: Dress up as one of God’s Servants!
Halloween is a time for costumes and wearing masks. Did you know that God likes to wear masks? Vocations are ‘masks of God.’ On the surface, we see an ordinary human face—a mother, doctor, teacher, waitress, pastor, etc. But beneath the appearances, God is serving us through them. God is hidden in human vocations. Join us on Wednesday, October 26, for Trunk or Treat Night. Our theme this year will be God’s Servants and we’re asking children to dress up as one of these servants, someone that God uses for a neighbor’s well-being. Use your creativity, but be sure you can explain your servant costume to someone who asks! Prizes will be awarded.
Don’t forget your candy-collecting bag that evening!!! Parents, and other interested adults, are asked to bring bags of candy, loaded in their trunks by 7:15 p.m. in the parking lot outside Door #3. Adults handing out candy will be dismissed early from their classes. Children will begin Trunk-or-Treating in the parking lot at 7:15 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to bring a friend.
