Thanksgiving Eve worship will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 6:30 p.m. with Holy Communion. Our Annual Pie Social follows immediately after! Bring a pie to share.

Congregational Assembly

Your Voters Representative Board (VRB) of Holy Cross will be holding a “Congregational Assembly” on Sunday, November 26, 9:45 a.m. (There will be no Adult Studies that day). A “Congregational Assembly” is an information session on the state of the congregation, to be held in the Great Room. You will be brought up-to-speed on the financial status of the congregation and hear reports about this summer’s Awestruck Experience, and the state of the School. All are invited to attend.

Pledge Commitment Weekend

Our annual Pledge Commitment Weekend was this past weekend, but if you were unable to be present, you may still submit your commitment for 2018, via mail or online at To download a copy of the pledge commitment card, Click here. Christmas EVE Worship ALL Weekend!

Our Christmas Eve worship schedule is different this year since Christmas Eve is on a Sunday. We will be celebrating Christmas Eve ALL WEEKEND with SIX Christmas Eve services (December 23&24)! CLICK HERE to check the schedule.

Poinsettias Donations

Help to beautify our worship experience by donating a poinsettia for Christmas. To do so, please complete the order form found in your weekly service folder or you complete it online at The cost of each plant is $9.50.  If you have any questions, please contact the church office, 823-5801 or email at

Candlelight & Carols

All the ladies of Holy Cross are invited to “Candlelight and Carols,” a new event for the ladies of Holy Cross and their guests. Tuesday December 5, at 6:30 pm we will gather in the Great Room and enjoy the true meaning of the Christmas season by sharing in fellowship, food, and Christmas carols. Add your name to the signup sheet at the Welcome Center desk by November 30th. There is no cost to attend, we simply ask you to bring a freewill donation of either check/cash or gift card in any denomination from Target, Wal-Mart or Meijer to benefit Bethany Christian Services and their Foster Care program. We’d also invite you to bring your favorite nativity set as we decorate the Great Room with a variety of them for the evening.

Chicago Bus Trip

The 7th Annual Chicago Bus trip is coming! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, November 28th (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving) for a fun day trip to downtown Chicago. Shopping. Eating. Sightseeing. It’s your choice how you spend your day. Just don’t be late meeting the bus to head back home! Cost is $60 and includes transportation to and from Chicago, light snacks on the bus both ways, and a chance to win door prizes. Signup sheet is at the Welcome Center. Tech Team Assistance

We could use some volunteers to help with some of the technical aspects (sound, video & lights) of our weekend services and our outreach to the community. We will provide the necessary training. Sunday School meets Sundays, 9:45 – 10:30 am, starting in the Worship Center. ALL children ages 3 years to 8th Grade are welcome. (Younger than 3 years are cared for in the Nursery in Room 142.) 
Sunday School focuses on building a safe Christian community amongst children to help form, edify and encourage their faith in Jesus from preschool through middle school and to springboard a strong, evident life-long walk with the Lord.  

"Hanging of the Greens"

That's what decorating for the holidays is called. Everyone is invited to join us on Saturday, December 2, at 9:00 a.m. as we prepare the campus for the Christmas holidays. It's a great way to meet people and make new friends. The more hands we have to help, the quicker we can finish! 

Stephen Ministry Training

A new training session for our Stephen Ministry caregiving ministry is being planned to begin at the end of January. Marriage Retreat

Plan now to attend a retreat for married couples that will enhance and strengthen your relationship with each other and with God. Holy Cross is hosting a Marriage Encounter weekend April 20-22, 2018 at the Comfort Suites Indianapolis. Couples will spend the weekend together in retreat to refresh, re-energize, & reconnect with each other. The cost for the weekend is $100 registration fee. All other costs are covered. Help The Sharing Place

While you are working hard this Thanksgiving to prepare a meal for the table, the McCordsville Meijer is making it easy for you to help in the Fight Against Hunger. When shopping at the McCordsville Meijer, be sure to purchase a ten dollar donation card. Meijer will then match the donation and give a twenty dollar gift card to The Sharing Place! This will continue through December 30.
