Holy Cross Summer Camp

Holy Cross Summer Camp is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, for children beginning at age 3 and NEW THIS SUMMER -> specialty classes are offered through 8th grade! Specialty classes include: art, creative writing, coding, animals, gardening, survival skills, etc.
Classes are held from 9am until 1pm during five weeks of the summer. $20 per day per child. Children eat a lunch brought from home. Each day is filled with many new and exciting learning activities, including a Bible story.  You may register for as many days as you like (from one to all 15). Summer Sunday School:

“Morning at the Movies!”

Children (Preschool through Grade 6) are invited to the Multipurpose Room 9:45-10:30 AM for a animated video series (friendsandheroes.tv), snacks, devotions, coloring and activity sheets, and more!
Sweet Freedom. Macky and the gang plan to rescue some slaves forced to work in the Roman granaries. Through their experiences and retelling of their people’s stories–Moses and the Egyptian and Saul on the Road to Damascus–we learn the importance of taking a stand and choosing the right path.


Awestruck Servant Event – July 9-14!

Holy Cross is host to the annual Youth Servant Event called Awestruck, July 9-14. Over 125 youth will spend a week at Holy Cross serving in the community at over 30 non-profit community organizations. Their evenings will include devotions and community building activities. The youth live on campus throughout the week
The week concludes with:

Awestruck Festival – July 14

Awestruck Festival is a day of celebration for all the work the youth have done all week. EVERYONE is invited to celebrate with the youth as an expression of our thank to them. It all begins at 3:00pm with FREE outdoor fun and games. The music concerts will begin at 6:00pm with FIVE amazing bands.
There are MORE Events during the week that ALL of us can participate in with the Youth.

Lutheran Disaster Response Mission Trip October 7-13

We will be working in Port Arthur, Texas, to help with the recovery process for victims of Hurricane Harvey. In order to coordinate housing and travel arrangements, please email Pastor McClean (dmcclean@hclc.info) if you are planning to go, and please indicate if you will be driving or are thinking of flying.
